The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. Thursday at 85th Place and Narragansett Avenue and appears to be gang-related Burbank cops said.
All four victims were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Oak Lawn Patch reader Bethany Jessie-Roche said she received a 5-part “Crime Alert for Burbank, IL” text message that read:
“Apparently, there is a report of shots fired at 6401 W. 86th Street in Burbank, IL. Burbank police responded to 6401 W 86th St in regards to a 'shots fired' call. Upon arrival, officers encountered four persons who had been shot in an apparent gang motivated shooting. None of the injuries are life-threatening. No offenders have been identified however police believe this was an intended target and not random. The investigation is ongoing to identify/apprehend responsible parties. Roche went to the crime scene, took some photos, and gave us this report:
“Upon arriving, I saw that there was crime tape, and several neighbors were outside. After I took a couple pictures, one of the teenage girls standing outside agreed to speak to me. She said that she was outside when it happened, and that there was blood all over the driveway.
According to the girl, the four victims allegedly are members of a street gang who live at the residence that was targeted. Allegedly, an occupant of an address across the street from the home is a member of rival gang, Roche reported.
The home is across the street from Tobin Elementary School in Burbank.
