Not Doornboss. They charged me 200$ to come out and tell me what was wrong(a cooling plate cracked) and 800$ to repair it because it was a "special" order. I told em I wanted a 2nd opinion. I had a friends friend come out to look. It cost me A total of 180$, the part was 90$ and not "special". I suggest you find a Guy to do on the side.

After horrible service and a low quality air conditioner that died after about 5 years, we called Four Seasons. Their rep came out and not only gave me a lesson in HVAC 101, but he could tell me exactly what areas in my house didn't heat and cool properly. He showed me where some venting was installed improperly and had the crew fix it at no additional charge. Four Seasons has very competitive pricing (not the highest or the lowest prices) and to me was the best value for the money. I won't call anyone else. One more thing, they installed the new A/C the same day I signed the contract!

I have been using Doornbos for 15 years never had a problem. They did my furnace, A/C and just put a Hot Water heater in for me about a year ago. If you are in the Market for new products I suggest buying a 10 year warranty. If you don't want to pay for repairs or replace a unit in 5 years. They also offer planned service which is great. Anything can break or go bad in 5 years that deals with mechanics/electronics. We all know this as consumers but have to rationalize if the warranty justifies itself for the price. I hope this helps some people out.

Assuming you know me. I have not been related to Bob Doornbos for 10+ years now. Not that it made Front Page headlines. Not that I need to explain it either. They are still a great company. He is a Great man. I am sorry you had a bad experience with them. I am sure their are others also. No company is perfect we all know that. I pay full price for repairs, installs and planned service. So if I can't recommend a company b/c it used to be family that's your opinion. However I am sure plenty of people have or will continue to use them because of the reasons that I mentioned. So that being said I hope you have a great day.

Thermal Heating... Have known Jim Witte and his son for years and recommended them often... they are prompt, honest, economical, friendly. When you tell the furnace guy you need a new furnace, and he insists the old one is fine and just needs cleaning... that's a guy you want to remember.

Hobson Heating is the best company to deal with. I have used them for over 20 years and have recommended them to several people that were also satisfied. They are honest and fairly priced.

Terry Sullivan, local Mt. Greenwood guy, owns Flame Furnace. He is honest, dependable, clean, efficient and takes the time to educate you about your furnace and air conditioner. I had two others tell me I needed a new furnace when I just needed a thorough cleaning of the burner plates or whatever they are called.

Windy City Mechanical- 4813 West 129th Street, Alsip, IL 60803
Phone: (708) 497-5464...I always get 3 estimates for any work I need done in my home. Windy City always came in with the fairest price everytime for myself or anybody i've recommended them to. I think the owner built a solid business for himself based on this practice and quality work.

Pro Heating and Cooling and Precision Heating and Cooling. I think they have two different locations, but are the same people. Experienced, reasonable, courteous, punctual, and they clean up after themselves.

I would highly recommend Any Season Heating and Air Conditioning for furnace repair in Oak Lawn. My neighbors and I have used them a couple of times before and have been happy with their work and never had any problems. They have only ever given us skilled and competent service.
