Here’s what we’ll be watching:
111th Street/Cicero Ave. – Village board members will be voting on a resolution authorizing the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Village of Oak Lawn and HP Stony Creek LLC regarding the development of the old Kmart property owned by the village. Illinois Secretary of State records list James and Paul Sheridan, Todd Berlinghof and Mark Hamilton of 300 Park Blvd. in Itasca as managing partners. Hamilton Partners is the name of the developer that is eyeing the property to purchase and turn into a new retail development. The company’s portfolio features a wide range of industrial, commercial, retail and land developments, including 30 retail developments around the Chicago region and Salt Lake City, UT.
Godfrey and Kahn Report – The Village Manager is requesting a motion of direction from Oak Lawn trustees on release of the confidential legal investigation report into the former village attorney now known as Tressler LLP. The law firm has declined to defend the decision to keep the report from being publicly released in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. The village board on will decide whether to make the report public or fight its release at taxpayers’ expense.
What’s not on the agenda – Fall On the Green 2011 audit and retaining Progressive Energy Group’s consultancy services for negotiating a rate with an alternative electricity supplier.
