LOST DOG: Have You Seen Quint?
Owner says Brittany spaniel disappeared early Saturday morning (Jan. 21) after the snowstorm.
Oak Lawn-resident Don Moust is desperate to find his Brittany spaniel, Quint, who disappeared early Saturday morning (Jan. 21) after last week’s snowstorm.
A friend’s young daughter opened the back yard gate accidentally letting Moust’s three dogs loose. They were able to round up the other dogs, but Quint was nowhere to be found.
Quint disappeared in the vicinity of 107th Street and Cicero Avenue. He’s white with orange spots, and weighs about 45 pounds. The dog is between 3 and 5 years old.
Moust says that Quint was wearing a collar. He is very shy and his owner says not to chase or call him because he may run away.
“He only knows me,” Moust said. “He’s my child.”
His owner has notified the Oak Lawn Police Department. Police said that they hadn’t picked up a dog matching Quint’s description, nor answered calls of a dog hit by a car over the weekend.
Moust also went to Animal Welfare League in Chicago Ridge over the weekend, but Quint wasn’t picked up or turned in. Patch has also notified the Animal Welfare League to keep an eye out for him.
His owner thinks that someone may have taken Quint into his or her house.
“He’s very loveable,” Moust said. “This dog has to be inside someone’s house. With (Sunday night’s) terrible thunder, Quint doesn’t like that. He always stays close to me during storms.”
It’s unknown if Quint has a mircrochip. Moust acquired Quint from some people in Joliet. If the dog is chipped, Quint’s information may be out of date.
Quint’s picture and information has been posted on the Lost Dogs Illinois Facebook page, as well as the Oak Lawn Patch Facebook page.
If you’ve seen Quint or know where he is, please contact Moust by email at dsmoust@sbcglobal.net, or call him at 708-636-6555.
Let’s find Quint and bring him home.

Don, I shared the site on Facebook and some friends also shared, so it will spread through the communities. Good luck!
