Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Nominate: Where Do You Like to Get Breakfast?

Don't miss the opportunity to nominate who you feel is the BEST breakfast spot in your community or a surrounding town. Your preferred spot will face off against others from the Oak Lawn area for the title of the most-loved in Oak Lawn.

Our morning rituals are sacred and we have no time to waste on a bad breakfast. That's why we need your help in naming the best place to get breakfast in Oak Lawn.

We want to know who makes that perfect meal to start your day. From pancakes to waffles and eggs to crepes, there are any number of places doing breakfast right. Tell us your favorite and why.

While you're at it, give a shoutout to your chosen plumber in our Patch business directory. Think of your recommendation as a public service, telling residents the best places to go in Oak Lawn.

Nominate your favorite breakfast spot by telling us in the comments. Here are a few suggestions; however, they STILL NEED TO BE NOMINATED to be included in the poll! As more restaurants are nominated, they'll be added to the list.

  • Stacked
  • Les Brothers
  • Oak Lawn Family Restaurant

We will accept nominations through July 9.

PS: Sign up for the OAK LAWN PATCH NEWSLETTER to find out when voting starts so you can support your favorite institution in the Readers' Choice contest.

Who makes the best breakfast in town? Tell us in the comments.

The Oak Lawn Restaurant ( Snackshop) since 1959 is the best place for breakfast! They are friendly, courteous and the owners: Alex, Pete and Tom make sure you are treated well and get to know everybody by name. It is like Cheer's where " Everybody Know's Your Name"!

The Skillet House! It's a tradition in our family! Every time our daughter is home (from college) and for special occasions, we go to the The Skillet House! Wonderful food, a great variety, and warm and funny staff...

I'm torn between the Oak Lawn Restaurant (Snack shop) and Stacked! Both A+ places - just depends on what you crave for breakfast!

Flapjacks has the best breakfast. Instead of toast you can get blueberry pancakes on the side with blueberry sauce; enough for another breakfast the next morning.
