Out-of-Town Contracts, Hospital Expansion, Alley Repaving Land on Village Board Agenda
Oak Lawn trustees will plow through a resolution-packed, A-H consent agenda at Nov. 13 village board meeting.
It’s a value-meal agenda for the Oak Lawn Village Board, which convenes at 7:30 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at Ye Olde Village Hall, just in case you’re DVRing it on Ch. 4.
Oak Lawn trustees will vote on an A-H consent agenda, plus a cornucopia of resolutions and proclamations.
The meeting could last a half-hour or four—village board members will most likely be picking up discussion of a resolution approving the paving of an additional alley pursuant to the 2012 alley-paving program, so all bets are off.

Here’s what we’ll be watching:
Update on 111th Street and Cicero Avenue demolition: Village Manager Larry Deetjen will updating board members on demolition of the old Kmart building.
Real Estate: Trustees will be voting on “the purchase of certain real estate,” namely Interstate Muffler at 4800 W. 111th St., a parcel adjacent to the old Kmart property.
Electrical Aggregation: Oak Lawn voters passed a binding referendum authorizing the village to negotiate a lower electrical fee via an aggregation broker on Nov. 6. Trustees will vote on an ordinance authorizing “aggregation of electrical load and adopting an electrical aggregation plan of operation and governance.”
Webb Chevrolet: An ordinance approving the amended agreement between the village and Webb Chevy.
Small Business Saturday: A resolution declaring Nov. 24 “Small Business Saturday” to support and promote Oak Lawn’s small businesses.
Tree Removal Contracts: Approval of contracts for 2013 Tree Services including tree pruning, tree removal and FEMA storm debris cleanup for some out-of-town landscape services.
Development: Discussion of Advocate Christ Medical Center expansion.
What’s not on the agenda: Fall on the Green 2011 forensic audit report. Where is it? We want to see it.
We're hoping it's a one Cheeto-bag evening.
The Oak Lawn Village Board meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at Village Hall, 9466 S. Raymond Ave. The meetings are free and open to the public.
