Students, staff and community members showed their school spirit by painting the gym purple at Oak Lawn Community High School. The fourth annual “Paint the Gym Purple” event kicked off the school’s annual “Relay for Life” fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Fans who wore purple got in free to the OLCHS and Richards High School boys’ basketball game. Richards students were also encouraged to "out purple" their cross town rival.
