Homewood-Flossmoor's Ricky Bullock outpolled 10 others in voting for Southland Patch's MVP, Jan. 28-Feb. 3. He is now eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

In voting for Southland Patch's MVP for Jan. 25-Feb. 3, who gets the biggest roar from the crowd?
Oak Forest's Alec Brown defeated Tinley Park's Derek Schultz 3-2 to win the 220-pound championship at the Class 2A Tinley Park Regional. Brown (34-2) led Oak Forest to a second-place finish in the tournbament.
Homewood-Flossmoor's Ricky Bullock scored 10 points in the Vikings' 59-30 boys basketball victory over Lockport. He added nine points and a big 3-pointer in H-F's 59-58 overtime victory over Joliet West.
Marist's Mark Duda edged Thornton's Kris Williams 5-3 to win the 113-pound championship in the Class 3A Marist Regional. Duda helped the RedHawks notch a second-place finish in the tournament.
Lincoln-Way West's Morgan Flaherty averaged 231 for six games en route to a pinfall totatl of 1,386, good for a first-place finish at the Rich East Sectional.
Oak Lawn bowling standout Shannon McGuire rolled a six-game series of 1,232 and finished second in the Bremen Sectional.

Amelia Rodriguez Had a slow start with voting. She forgot to tell people. She had a great against Reavis scoring 15 pts and 5 rebounds.
