My vote goes to Gov. Gary Johnson. Don't waste your vote on MORE OF THE SAME! If Gary Johnson gets 5% of the vote, the 2 party duopoly is finished in this country. Gary Johnson talks about the issues that actually matter and has solutions for our country's problems. He has more governing experience than either of the big government Republican and Democrat. He was elected to a 2nd term as governor of New Mexico by a landslide, and left the state with a budget surplus. He was shut out of the Republican primaries by the neocons and religious right. A vote for Gary Johnson makes a statement to Washington. 5% to Gary Johnson would be more than a statement, and the big government parties would take notice. Why do you think the Repulicans worked so hard to silence the Ron Paul delegates? I wouldn't have voted for Romney under much of any circumstances. His stance on issues depends on which way the wind blows. My vote is not wasted. IMHO, since Illinois will go to Obama, a vote for Romney seems a huge waste to me. Go to isidewith.com. It compares your views with the candidates and shows which ones you line up with. Might be eye-opening for you.

Ann...you make a good point in that you introduce a third party into the mix. When you hear that the independants will really decide this coming election you begin to wonder if the Dems and Reps really matter anymore. They no longer control the elections do they. So a third party might be something that is in our future but it must be a well organized party that builds a following by offering what the others do not. That is a big order...but doable.

the biggest hurdle for 3rd parties is ballot access. You spend all your money just to get on the ballot, and then what do you have left to campaign. The Republicans and Democrats have locked down the system and made it extremely difficult to be heard. The presidential debates are not run by the government, but by a 'nonprofit organization' that is made up of half Democrats and half Republicans. Guess how likely it is that a third party candidate can get into the debate?? After Ross Perot made it, the organization made it even tougher for a 3rd party candidate to get in. Simply not a fair or democratic system. There will be a 3rd party debate on Monday 11/5 between Gov. Gary Johnson and Jill Stein. If you tune in you may be surprised by the issues that get debated - the ones that actually matter. Last 3rd party debate was on C-span, but I'm not sure about this one. GaryJohnson2012

I voted for Obama because, I think that he is for what is best for the average American and for what we stand for around the world. I also feel, that the new Republicon party has been taken over by an extremist evil group of religious wackos.

In order to even get a third party off the ground voters need to make sure that whoever does get elected works toward passing real Campaign Finance Reform and repealing Citizens United Decision which defines corporations as people.
