Police Blotter: Wanton Urinating, Stolen Art and Petty Thievery

SUNDAY, JAN. 30

Watch Where You Pee

Alfred A. Carter, 31, of the 7600 block of South Emerald in Chicago, was cited for disorderly conduct. Police say Carter urinated in the parking lot outside of Chuck E. Cheese, 4031 W. 95th St., around 6 p.m. Carter was issued a village ordinance citation and is to appear for a hearing at Oak Lawn Village Hall on Feb. 15.

Art Lovers

Police went to McDonald’s, 6034 W. 95th St., for a delayed theft report. At 9 p.m., three male juveniles entered the restaurant and ordered food. Three sat a table near the exit. After they finished eating, one of them removed a painting off the wall, according to a police report. The juveniles were last seen on security video leaving on foot through the parking lot. The painting was valued at more than $300.

FRIDAY, JAN. 28

Phone Flies

A man in his early 20s with a shaved head and wearing a hoodie took a young mother’s cell phone while she tended to her child at Chipolte Restaurant, 6230 W. 95th St., around 2:30 p.m, according to a police report. An employee was wiping down the tables and saw the victim’s phone sitting on the table after the victim had stepped away. The employee asked other patrons who the phone belonged too, when the man claimed it and fled the restaurant.

THURSDAY, JAN. 27

Purse Pilfered in Parking Lot

A woman’s purse was stolen while she loaded groceries into her car in the Jewel parking lot at 4650 W. 103rd St. around 2:45 p.m. She told police that a man came by and said, “I’ll take your cart.” After a few minutes, she remembered that her purse was in the grocery cart. When she returned to the scene, the man was gone. The victim lost $100, her driver’s license, credit and debit cards, according to the report.
