POLICE: Children Knocked Over in Chuck E. Cheese Brawl

A brawl at a children’s birthday party emporium resulted in eight arrests on Feb. 3.

Oak Lawn police answered a call of a “fight in progress” around 7:15 p.m. at Chuck E. Cheese, 4031 W. 95th St. The manager identified those who were allegedly fighting inside the restaurant to police.

Police said that during the fight, several uninvolved patrons were pushed and some children were knocked to the floor. Both sides participating in the brawl each blamed the other side for starting it.

The officers were unable to locate a reliable witness, and security video was not available at the time of the incident to determine who was the aggressor, reports said.

There were no injuries to patrons, children or the participants in the conflict. The manager wished to sign complaints against the alleged brawlers. Seven women and one man were taken to the Oak Lawn police station.

Charged with disorderly conduct were:

• Latrice McGuire, 21, of the 10300 block of S. Wabash, Chicago
• Leah R. Askew, 18, of the 4100 block of W. Washington, Chicago
• Felicia Pate, 19, of the 10300 block of S. Wabash, Chicago
• Tyneshia L. McKinney, 24, of the 600 block of East 83rd Place, Chicago
• Sharda N. McGuire, 24, of the 10300 block of South Wabash, Chicago
• Jamyla Leggit, 19, of the 14000 block of S. Princeton, Dolton
• Glenn C. Kirkland, 18, of the 400 block of East 104th St., Chicago

The accused are scheduled to appear in court on March 12.
