Police: Drunken Oak Lawn Resident Falls Asleep at a Bar
A man who fell asleep at a bar was charged with battery and criminal trespass to property, according to Evergreen Park Police.
A man who fell asleep at a local bar head-butted the bar manager after he was asked to leave, Evergreen Park police said.
Gerard T. O'Halloran, 45, of Oak Lawn was arrested and charged with battery and criminal trespass to property on Feb. 18, according to reports.
Police said at 1:23 a.m., a bartender at Bleekers, 3447 W. 95th St., saw O'Halloran falling asleep at the end of the bar and asked him to leave. He instead went to the bathroom, but stayed in for a while, according to police. When the bartender and a manager tried to get O'Halloran to leave several times, he refused and head-butted the manager, causing him pain and a nosebleed, reports said.
Police report information is provided by the Oak Lawn Police Department and other law enforcement agencies. Charges are not evidence of guilt. I wonder if the bartender gave any thought to "just maybe I shouldn't have served him that last couple drinks???"
