The woman came to the police station to report that she had gone to join L.A. Fitness Center at 8812 S. Cicero Ave. the day before.

She was on the floor balancing herself on her hands and knees while extending one leg. Brewer told her to tighten the muscles on her inner thighs as she performed the exercise.

When the woman asked him if she was doing the exercise correctly, police said Brewer placed his hand on her inner thigh, then moved his hand up her leg and touched her vagina.

The woman became very uncomfortable and told him to stop. She reported the incident to fitness center management and left.

She came in the Oak Lawn police station the next day to file a report.

Police went to the fitness center to talk to the trainer. Brewer said he thought the woman was flirting with him and that women flirt with him at the gym all the time, according to the report.

The trainer explained that when the woman asked if her “thigh muscles were tight,” Brewer thought this was more flirting and placed his hand on the inside of her thigh and ran his hand up her leg and touched her private area, using a derogatory term instead, police said.

When asked if he meant her vagina, Brewer replied yes. Police said Brewer removed his hand when the woman became upset and apologized to her several times, stating that he was not a “pervert or creep.”

Brewer was then placed under arrest for battery. His next court appearance is Feb. 23 in Bridgeview.
