What were the initial asking prices, how much did the owners pay originally and how long were they on the market?

The Oak Lawn house was on the market in 2008 for $519,000, originally. Bought in 2003 for $413,000. Sold to Marquette Bank 4-3-12 for that amount.

Palos Park wanted $595000 last year, September. Previous owners had it since 2007. It was built in 1956, and the pictures of the interior are GORGEOUS. 3128sqft. Rarely am I REALLY impressed with a home just because it is big, or expensive...Rooms are huge, finishes are top notch. Nice place...for $535000.(Which I don't have at all...nor the taxes for almost $10000.)

Thanks Dave. Can't really tell by these houses if the market is starting to pick up.

Considering that three of them were either a foreclosure (Oak Lawn home), or new constuction that sat empty for extended periods of time with large price drops...not really. Areas are starting to maybe stabilize, but that is the ebst I would say about it. More foreclosures on the way from some higher end areas too. Ugh.
