I'm bookmarking this and I'll link it after the election. Obama will win because Romney is barely acceptable to most Republicans for a myriad of different reasons. The GOP cannot win by alienating voters yet that is all they've been doing for the last 8 years or more.

I am making this as a general comment not in reply to this one specifically, but to everyone. One of our big problems as a country is the lack of respect in all regards, but particularly to anyone who holds a different opinion. I would love to see the comments reflect factual comments replied in a respectful manner instead of insulting remarks back and forth. The real problem in this country is exactly that. Shame on all of you.

"Most people don't want to vote for him because they are racist". Here's a news flash for you, Chris; voting FOR a candidate because of the color of their skin is as racist as voting AGAINST a candidate for the same reason. In 2008, 96% of blacks who voted cast a vote for Obama. I suppose that they ALL studied the issues closely, and subscribed to the planks in the Dem platform, right? Oh, and polls show that blacks will blindly vote for Obama again this time around, despite the unemployment being much worse now than it was 4 years ago in "the community". Then there is the guilty liberal white vote -- same thing -- HAVE to vote for the black guy! Who is it again that is racist?
DJP
8:15 am on Sunday, September 23, 2012
@Chris: Aren't you tired of these tired ol' left wing talking points? Overwhelmingly the black population voted for Obama in the last election. How can that be? Statistically the outcome would never equate to 96%. Ever! Thus, the next you want to come to the "party" to make a point please do so by learning to frame your argument and retire the word "racist".
Ted Schnell
1:14 pm on Sunday, September 23, 2012
@Chris: I question the validity of your statement "Most people dont want to vote for him because they are racists." That may indeed be your view, but your phrasing paints it as fact, for which there is no supporting data. I would point out that this pattern of label thinking -- "most people" -- is very similar to the line of thought that give rise to prejudice in other areas. Racial intolerance is unacceptable, as are all forms of bigotry. There are plenty of Republicans and Democrats who fall into the latter catergory. Just sayin' ...

What planet are you from? Any time somebody disagrees with Obama, the non-thinkers play the race card. Just look at his record, the man doesn't have a clue. I am so sick and tired of you race baiters. The democrats are the racists, the heterophobes, the non-producers, the takers, the hatemongers, etc. Romney is no slick. He is straight up and a lover of this once great nation. People need to vote with their brain not with their emotions. The choice for Nov is clear and it's Romney.

My personal history is one of fighting racism. Take YOUR racist comment and shove it into whatever of your orifices most suits you.
I cannot vote for Obama ... not because I am racist, but because he is unashamedly Socialist - with a hint of Stalinism. Any of his programs show that his reliance upon Socialism as a base line is evident.
I want to live in a country that values free speech -- not freedom to speak Obama's party line.
I want to live in a country that rewards hard work and initiative -- not taking from the hard workers in order to give the money to the hardly working.
I want to protect the possibility of becoming rich --not face the reality of remaining poor.
I want to practice,or not practice, my own religion as I see fit -- not have to tiptoe through the minefields of political correctness and be afraid to speak openly.
I want the country and Government that the founding fathers gave us -- not one centered on the collectivism of the Commnist Ideal.
Got that? Or do you consider everything racist?

I could never vote for any democrat because I'm Roman Catholic! I want to stay Roman Catholic!!! Section 2272 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church says:
Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life. “A person who procures a completed abortion incurs excommunication latae sententiae,”77 “by the very commission of the offense,”78 and subject to the conditions provided by Canon Law.79 The Church does not thereby intend to restrict the scope of mercy. Rather, she makes clear the gravity of the crime committed, the irreparable harm done to the innocent who is put to death, as well as to the parents and the whole of society.
The Key Words are Formal Cooperation! You cannot get any more formal that voting for or contributing to a political party who has in its platform a plank that is Pro-Choice! It doesn't matter which democrat politician you vote for...they will all vote together to preserve abortion! President Obama was instrumental in this state as a state senator to pass the "Mother's Intent" law. Even if the Abortionist makes a mistake and the baby survives the attempt on its life, Obama wanted the mother's intent to be first and foremost upheld. The baby must die!!! Obama is Pro-Infanticide!!!

Personally, I don't see how the black population can stomach voting for democrats. It was the southern democrats that were pro-slavery. It took the republican party and Abe Lincoln to stop slavery in this country. Civil Rights legislation would've never passed in this country if not for republicans. Planned Parenthood's founder, Margaret Sanger, was a democrat who felt that the black population needed to be controlled and felt that birth control and abortion was the way to do it. The Ku Klux Klan were southern democrats who lynched not only Blacks but Roman Catholics and Republicans as well. The first black congressmen were all republicans. It has been the democrat party through the entire history of this country that has done it's best to delegitimize black people in this country. Many republicans and catholics have given their lives to assisting blacks throughout history. I am not at all embarrassed to be a republican!!!

President Obama gave the order for the Seals to kill bin Laden, so yes, he does get credit for that. He helped the economy by not letting a terrible recession slide into a depression. It's funny how people are willing to put all the fault on the President for the bad but any of the credit forth good goes elsewhere.
Americans and the politicians that allegedly represent us need to understand that partisan politics is killing our great country. If we don't figure that out we're done.

There's so many reasons NOT to elect Obama!!! We are not better off now than 4 years ago! The debt is now over16 trillions dollars and Obama will increase our taxes if elected. The jobless rate is high, and has been for a long time. The economy is still failing and the war in Iraq and Afganistan is stil going on. And there is Obamacare, which has many surprises in it that won't come out till after the election. There are more people on food stamps than any other President before. And all the people receiving gov. aid because of their jobless state is higher than ever. So sad and difficult. The President's lack of leadership during this Libya tragedy is appalling. Why wasn't the security at the US embassy in Libya and all embassy's increased on 9/11, especially when there was warning of possible unrest days before? Mitt's life is an open book! He is not a career politician. Mitt spent most of his life in the private sector, which gives him knowledge of how our economy works. But he has also been an outstanding public servant. After graduating from Brigham Young University, he earned "dual degrees" from Harvard Law and Harvard Business School. After working as a business consultant for several years, Mitt founded the investment firm Bain Capital in 1984. Under his leadership, Bain Capital helped to launch & or rebuild 100 companies, including Staples, Dunkin' Doughnuts, and The Sports Authority. There are no gray areas about his religious preference & beliefs, where he stands on the right to life. His 2011 tax returns reflect he paid close to 2M in taxes and gave 4M to charity (basically 1/3 of his income). Mitt will never apologize or appease our enemies. Mitt believes in personal responsibility and yet will continue to help those that need government assistance> he will unite this country and instill in America that we are NOT a land of "haves and have nots".... to name a few! And most of all Mr. Romney will work hard to repeal Obamacare -- passed with the promise that it would cost zero to the public and now we KNOW we can expect to see more of our paychecks returned to the government to subsidize his free plan. Mr. Eastwood said it best: " If someone isn't doing their job then you have to let 'em go. You don’t have to IDOLIZE people in politics — they’re here to work for you."

@JJN: Check to see if your college diploma is on the recall list because it's evident you know very little of how to run a business. Outsourcing of jobs? Exactly how many jobs and revenue did he outsource in order to prevent the collapse of an organization? And too, it is not against the law to have an offshore account. Just ask Harry Reid, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Al Gore or Nancy Pelosi. Second, exactly what has Obama done for the middle class the last 3.5 years? Third, when individuals resort to using "race" or finger-wag as an argument, it lessens the argument. And finally, you cannot possibly get into the minds of why the American people don't like Obama. Perhaps one could argue it's because of his inability to see that America is headed down a slippery slope of 16T in debt coupled with the President admitting that he can't "FIX WASHINGTON from the inside". Or lied about Fast/Furious and got caught, had to rewind his statement. Or admitting, "You didn't build that"? Or perhaps its because the ME is in crisis & Americans were murdered on 9/11& US soil and instead of meeting with (his) Joint Chiefs, flew to Vegas to collect campaign checks & then dine on $40K dinners with a rapper with a questionable background (something which is a common thread with Obama..think Ayers, Frank Davis) or maybe it's because he skipped a meeting with our ally, Netanhayu, to chat on Letterman's couch. Ask yourself, is this a man who embraces the title of Leader of the Free World?

FACT CHECK:
With so many fact checks available during the RNC and the fact many people question (or defend) Chuck Ingwersons statistics of who he makes fun of, I decided to do a FACT CHECK on it. Chuck has commented a couple times defending his comedy that he is fairly equal in his comedy. You may refer back to his comments by clicking on his name and comments. For the sake of room they are not included here. Anyway, with all the time on my hands I did this FACT CHECK.
In 47 cartoons of political nature, I counted the focus(s) of the cartoon. These date back to November 16, 2011. The FACT is Chuck Ingwerson made fun of the following:
1. Mitt Romney 17 times 36.2%
2. Barack Obama 9 times 19.1%
3. Newt Gingrich 6 times 12.8%
4. Herman Cain 3 times 6.4%
5. Michele Bachman 2 times 4.25%
6. Rick Santorum 2 times 4.25%
7. Donald Trump 2 times 4.25%
Honorable mention (1 time mention) is Rod Blagovich, Rush Limbaugh, Governor Quinn, Joe Biden, Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin, Clint Eastwood, and Todd Aiken. (2.1%)…..
I even have the stats on Tropical storms, BoBo the Clown, dogs, cats, Sox, Cubs fans, and more, but these were a-political stats. I would be glad to include the raw data for anyone in an EXCEL sheet should they wish to provide their email

Obama's shortcomings are the fault of the do-nothing Republicans in congress. He ran as a centrist and has governed as a centrist. Obama is not nearly liberal enough for my taste, but he is far an away better than Romney, a two-faced flip-flopping etch-a-sketch who will say ANYTHING to get elected. Wrong.
Unlike Clinton and Reagan, arguably two of the most effective President's in recent history, Obama is unable or unwilling to pick up a phone and reach out to the members of congress who may not agree with him. Clinton and Reagan were master consensus builders, even among their political foes.
Obama seems to feel that it's beneath him to reach out to the opposition.

70 comments since this morning. Impressive. Anyway, I am not better off than I was four years ago and I don't know anyone who works for a living who is. And, while the war in Iraq may be "officially" over, there are still plenty of boots on the ground there. So, the liberal, do-nothing-except-embarrass-themselves-media can hoop that up all they want to, but a relative of mine is about to be shipped out. AND, Mitt may overdo it on the self-tanner, but I'll take that over what I'm currently getting, which is higher taxes (sales tax through the higher price of EVERYTHING, and as of January 2013 a whole host of others including capital gains and dividend taxes, as well as increased taxes and regulations on businesses who have to pass those increases on to consumers), a "leader" who can't seem to lead but instead divides his constituents, and a "leader" who doesn't believe in America's exceptionalism and bows to any other foreign leader (especially if they're Middle Eastern). Don't vote for someone because of the color of their skin. If you're only interested in growing already bloated entitlements that we can't afford, don't vote.

I've heard nothing concrete from anyone on how Romney is going to create jobs. All I hear is lowering taxes and that says nothing about how he plans on creating jobs. The same blah, blah about companies getting tax breaks to hire more means nothing. The tax breaks come and they send the work overseas. I want to see concrete proof that he is creating jobs for the american people and I've seen no proof any where on that.
Why won't he show his previous tax returns, that is going to come back to bite him the closer we get to the election. If this man wants to become POTUS then I want to know why he does or doesn't have enough faith in this country to keep his money here. The only reason I can think of for him to jump ship with the cash is to avoid paying taxes. I think he owes the people of this country the honest truth, if you're an american than you should act like one. 2 million in taxes is chump change.
$200,000 to $250,000 is not the middle class, why doesn't he understand this?

In fact if anyone owes the American people the truth it is the Pres. Con-Fraud-Man-in-Chief. The Fraud Man should release his tax returns,school records and Tony Resko involvement. Oblamer is tied to Blago, Jesse Depression Jackson Jr., Emanuel and other corruptive Chicago criminals. You are attacking a family man because he was and is successful? Stop your liberal BS because it has no merit. Mr. Romney has stated time after time he plans to lower the Corporate Tax rate so companies will start to prosper thus, businesses then will have money to hire. Mr. Romney's tax returns has been up the liberal's butts for such a long time and they have no relevance to our faltering economy. G. Ryan typical non-answer. I have always voted Republican but find this candidate to be the wrong choice and I'm not alone. I also never once commented with my above statement on Obama, that was your doing as I'm not happy with him either. I agree that both candidates should release all information but Romney's complete avoidance of this is not helping the party one bit. His own campaign people are leaving him, what does that say about him.
Attacking a family man, now that's calling the kettle black. His recent comments about the 47% was a cheap shot at all the disabled people in this country. Having a disabled nephew ( who receives help) I find his comment to be disgusting.
Lowering the corporate tax rate doesn't mean diddly squat. Yes they might hire more but it doesn't mean the jobs will be here and I know that all to well.

American Airlines is laying off and numerous others have in the past 4 years of the Obuzzard's economy. No one wants to hire in the Obummer climate. Lowering the tax rate also assists small businesses and business in general. And the only trillions is the national debt which is climbing to 26 TRILLION IN OBLAMER DOLLARS.
Stones
7:59 am on Monday, September 24, 2012
G. Ryan, the national debt is at 16 trilliion, not 26 and how much of that can be attributed to the Iraq War? And yes, corporate profits are extremely high and they are sitting on piles of money, refusing to invest, hire or move forward. Why, that's open for debate I guess. Probably hoping to get one of their own in the White Hous in order to further increase profits even further.
If that were to happen, you won't benefit from it and neither will most Americans, since most are not "middle class" earning $250,000 a year. Based on your lack of intelligence and uneducated name calling, it's safe to assume you're not in Romney's middle class.
Before you come back with the typical liberal bashing nonsense, consider I have never voted for a Democratic candidate for President. @ Walt. Where have you been? Mr. Romney released his tax returns days ago. Also, when he made the comment about the 47% he stated that is the number who are not paying taxes and are living off the government entitlements. Since Oblamer has been in office FOOD STAMPS have doubled, SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY has doubled along with UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION. IS this the way to lead a country? When Oblamer ran his campaign in 2008 he mentioned HOPE and CHANGE...well, guess what we were never a hopeless nation. But the Obummer parade does not want to work or pay taxes. This is the truth about Romney's statement. No candidate is going to be perfect as they don't exist within the human condition. But I met him and his wife and they are genuine people. Also, he wants the job. I wouldn't want that job as look at the scrutiny you are under..you have no privacy. Mr. Romney does not need this job but he loves America and his family. I can tell you this he does have integrity. I cannot say that about Oblamer. You had asked the question and I gave you an answer. As far as him attacking his staff. I can say this you may not understand the long hours you put in campaigning. It is not easy. But his pick of Paul Ryan was the correct choice. Stop looking at the petty issues like tax returns and his 47% comment(which is the truth.) and look at the bigger pictures and issues. And realize how bad it has become under Oblamer's ruling and it will only get worse if he is reelected.

My nephew receives disability so according to your comment Romney was speaking about him. While he might not pay income tax he does pay sales, property and any other tax the rest of us pay. He's also a register voter and the recent comments effects the entire community of disabled people. When my wife passed and I lost my job we went from a 2 income family to no income and I was on food stamps for a short time. I now have 3 jobs to keep the roof over my head and food on the table for my girls. I'm also also paying off a medical bill from 6yrs ago so his snide comments were out of line. He has no idea what the middle class is or what they are going through with remarks like that.
You have to realize that there are many independents out there who are viewing him in an unfavorable way after his latest fiasco. If he meant the 47% comment in a different text he needs to work on his lingo as the hole he's digging for himself is only getting bigger.
The petty issue of tax returns is going to be his biggest problem in the months to come. I've seen it before and I know it's coming, they're going to dig something up on this and shoot it out at crunch time.
I would still like to hear the answer on job creation in this country but I see that's not going to happen. As far as the 47% I received help for a short time so I guess he was speaking ill of me. Now he wants my vote.

@G.Ryan: The voluminous return Romney released on Friday (news-dump day) were for 2011. That makes a total of two (count them, 2!) years of returns now. The reveal that he had to elect not to deduct about $1.8 Million of his charitable donations so that he wouldn't violate his earlier statement that he had paid 13-14% of his income in federal income taxes. Any bets on whether he will file an amended return shortly after losing the presidential election in order to claim the additional deduction and get a refund of his overpaid taxes? Just because his spokesman said he wouldn't do that isn't good enough for me. He isn't known as a liar/flip-flopper for nothing. I even expect him to file the amended return if he does win, though he probably will wait a while until he's pretty sure there won't be anyone watching or caring about it.

I am sorry to hear of your situation Mr. Hines. And I will definitely say a prayer for you and your family. I do not mean any ill harm. But please if Mr. Romney affected you in a personal way, I am sorry you feel this way. I do think he was referring to the government entitlements. I lost 60% of my salary and I am working part-time. We all have our crosses to bear in life, I know. I understand your position with wanting to not vote for him but please outweigh the pros and cons of each candidate. If you don't like Mr. Romney you can also look at his running mate and perhaps that may appeal to you. I feel at this time, America as a whole is going down the wrong road and in this election it is the economy and my liberty and freedom from tyranny which is important. So tax returns and his comment about the dependency Oblamer has increased are not issues that I am selecting in this election. My biggest concern is my love for my country and I really believe if he is reelected this country will get worse. Please go see the movie, 2016 and wait for the debates and see how you feel then. As far as President Obama's birth certificate, that ship has sailed. It has not only been realeased, it has been certified by the Secretary of State of Hawaii. That makes it pretty official, right? I'm sure you won't believe that because it's only a state SOS, clearly part of the great conspiracy started 50 years ago to plant a muslim, socialist in the White House. But there is also no question that their tax rates have fallen more than any other group’s over the last three decades. The only reason they are paying more taxes than in the past is that their pretax incomes have risen so rapidly — which hardly seems a great rationale for a further tax cut.

The Fed Gov, or State/Local gov for that matter, CANNOT give anything to anybody that it does NOT - with the threat of imprisonment - take from somebody else. As a small business owner, I can tell you that high/higher taxes do NOT stimulate me to invest more to expand my business, hire additional employees, or provide better benefits/higher wages to my existing employees. Just the opposite is true. I understand the need to “help” those less fortunate – I contribute to various charities. If you/others feel such a morale obligation to give more to the less fortunate (less motivated) by all means feel free to donate more of YOUR own money – don’t take mine! If you believe taxes for those in your tax bracket should be higher – donate! ANY Fed Gov spending outside of the 18 enumerated powers outlined in the Constitution is not only WRONG and unconstitutional, it is theft and slavery. It makes individuals a slave to the Fed government.
Everybody has Rights. The Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. You do NOT have the Right to somebody else paying for your Food, Housing, Clothing, Shoes, Cell phone, TV, etc. !
And NO you do NOT have the Right to Health Care! If you believe you have the Right to health care you would have to believe that you have the RIGHT to make a doctor/nurse/pharm. company to GIVE you their services for free! And let's look at Mitten's view on abortion, it changes depending on who he is pandering for votes.
"Romney proclaimed himself a strong supporter of abortion rights both in 1994, when he ran unsuccessfully for Senate against incumbent Democrat Edward Kennedy, and in 2002, when he defeated Democrat Shannon O'Brien to become governor.
"I will preserve and protect a woman's right to choose," he said in a 2002 debate with O'Brien. "And I do take exception to Shannon characterizing my view as being any different than hers in this regard; The Boston Globe recently reported there's not a paper's width worth of difference between our two positions in this regard."
But that changed halfway though Romney's term as governor. He says his conversion came after he talked to a Harvard scientist about embryonic stem cells. Now, he says his position is to oppose almost all abortions."
Mitt supports the death penalty in certain circumstances so he is also a supporter of murder. Mitten's is certainly no Christian either

G. Ryan, once again you're incorrect. Mitt's Dad, George W. Romney did run for president in 1968, losing in the primary to Richard Nixon mostly due to making a stupid comment as the front runner. Overall seeming to be a good guy but a bit off on the campaign trail. But don't believe me, I'm just a liberal right? My voting record would tell you otherwise though.
I know this is only from Wikepedia but read below, maybe do a little research before you hit the keyboard, revealing you ignorance of any facts.
Romney was a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 1968. While initially a front-runner, he proved an ineffective campaigner, and fell behind Richard Nixon in polls. Following a mid-1967 remark on The Lou Gordon Program that his earlier support for the Vietnam War had been due to a "brainwashing" by U.S. military and diplomatic officials in Vietnam, his campaign faltered even more, and he withdrew from the contest in early 1968. Once elected president, Nixon appointed Romney Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Romney's ambitious plans for housing production increases for the poor, and for open housing to desegregate suburbs, were modestly successful but often thwarted by Nixon.

So let's compare apples to apples George Ryan. How many years of tax returns did Mitt's dad release when we ran in the primaries to be president versus the number of years of tax returns Mitten's released while he was a presidential candidate. Romey's dad released 12 years worth of tax returns as a presidential candidate. Mitten's: ZERO

G. Ryan, running in the primary is running for President. With you logic, Ron Paul, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich didn't run for President? Did you vote in the primary? If so, you might understand this. It's a good thing Vera came along, otherwise you would be the biggest fool on this thread.
The correlation to Mitt Romney's tax returns and his running for president is, I would like to know if and what money he is hiding overseas or anywhere else to avoid paying taxes. That 47% makes up a lot of people who need his support.
Glad to know I'm still a liberal, even though as I stated previously that i have never voted for a Democratic presidential candidate, that would be 8 elections so far. And I'm a liberal? The reason President Obama will be re-elected is because knuckleheads like you are pushing rational, right leaning moderates like myself to vote the other way. Behavior like yours combined with the 47% commentary are pushing President Obama (yes, still his name and proper title) well over 300 electoral college votes. Enjoy the next four years, fool!

As far as the dream act, I'd rather see illegals get a path toward citizenship than Romney's plan of building a wall. Where does Romney think he will get the money to build a fence.

You really aren't pro life at all - just anti-abortion. What part of THOU SHALL NOT KILL don't you understand. There isn't an asterik next to kill.
And as for caring about the children, you really don't. It appears your answer to abortion is to have the child and then put it in foster care and hope it gets adopted. Let someone else take care of that child that YOU DIDN'T WANT KILLED.
You cons believe in less government but then want government to dictate what women can and can't do with their bodies and who people should and should not be able to love. So which is it, less government or more government?

Every dollar you give them, does to support that. So yes, in no way at all do I want them getting any tax money for their 'services'. I don't care how many 'good things' you say they do, the fact that they promote child rape negates them all, and then some.

I understand that you have to ignore reality, in order to continue your beliefs. Most people have a hard enough changing their habits, much less a part of what they think makes them who they are.
But the reality, is that the church not only protects this activity, their internal laws have no punishment for it;
http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-09-13/news/ct-met-joliet-priest-20120913_1_joliet-diocese-church-abuse-allegation
"because his alleged relationship with a teenager in the 1970s did not meet the criteria of a crime under church law at that time, according to the Joliet Diocese."
You go right on ahead and think its 'no big deal', but the rest of the world is slowly waking up to the fact that they want nothing to do with an organization that not only allows this to go on, but actively protects those it knows are committing these crimes. Church attendance has been steadily declining for decades, the younger generation wants nothing to do with your fairy tales and hypocritical morality. It would explain why you fit right into the description of what is left; an 'aging sea of gray hair, with few if any younger people'.
http://www.wyomingnews.com/articles/2011/11/13/news/01top%2011-13-11.txt
On the flipside, the survey showed the number of people identifying themselves under the "no religion category" increased by 14 percent across the state.
The sooner you face the reality of what your 'group' is really all about, the better off we will all be.

""Stop it," she said in an interview. "This is hard. You want to try it? Get in the ring. This is hard and, you know, it's an important thing that we're doing right now, and it's an important election"."
Mittens can have Ann be her Secretary of State. Ann to Iran: Leave the United States alone and quit bullying other countries.
Ann to the Muslims as she points here finger at them: Quit your fighting or I am going to give you a time out. You are supposed to be a peaceful people. So what if people make fun of your religion, stop being the savages I know you are. You better stop soon or my husband will send his military after you.

How Ironic. Just released by the AP 90 mins ago...
DENVER (AP) — Republican election officials who promised to root out voter fraud so far are finding little evidence of a widespread problem.
State officials in key presidential battleground states have found only a tiny fraction of the illegal voters they initially suspected existed. Searches in Colorado and Florida have yielded numbers that amount to less than one-tenth of 1 percent of all registered voters in either state.
COLORADO
Last year, Gessler estimated that 11,805 noncitizens were on the rolls.
But the number kept getting smaller.
After his office sent letters to 3,903 registered voters questioning their status, the number of noncitizens now stands at 141, based on checks using a federal immigration database. Of those 141, Gessler said 35 have voted in the past. The 141 are .004 percent of the state's nearly 3.5 million voters.
Even those numbers could be fewer.

G. Ryan my mother-in-law had M.S and it did horrible things to her. All the meds she was on ( betaseron) took their toll. Absolutely stunning woman who died bald and crippled, just horrible.
That's one thing I have in common with the Romney's, my wife also passed from breast cancer. Her's spread to her kidneys and bones. They tried for a transplant but it never happened. My wife meant everything to me and I just find it in poor taste to stoop to the level of belittling someone's appearance. We're born the way the good Lord wanted us to be, unless of course the Doc steps in.

The oldest Christian religion in the world.
The Catholic Church was founded
in the year 33 by our Lord Jesus Christ and believe in realbody and blood of
Christ in Communion.The next oldest Christian Church is the Lutherans and
they have been around for about 500 years.In the year 33 there were no
hospitals.
Today, one out of five people in this country receive their medical care at
a Catholic hospital.In the year 33 there were no schools. Today, the
Catholic Church teaches 3 million students a day, in its more than 250
Catholic Colleges and Universities, in its more than 1200 Catholic High
Schools and its more than
5000 Catholic grade schools.
Every day, the Catholic Church feeds, clothes, shelters and educates more
people than any other organization in the world.
The new Obama Health Mandate could end all this and the tax payers would
have to make up the loss.

Don't worry, you are only off by 50%. The actual number, is 2.03M, not 3M as you claim. So, you may ask where those numbers come from, and you should. They come from the National Catholic Education Association;
http://www.ncea.org/news/annualdatareport.asp#enrollment
The peak was in the 1960s, when there were over 5M enrolled. In a single lifetime, enrollment has plummeted over 50%!
In just the past 10 years, enrollment has decreased by over 20%, and is continuing to decline at an increasing rate.

Stick this up your (|) you liberals!!!
It’s official. President Barack Obama is the biggest spender in the history of the world. And that is not hyperbole. Like a shopaholic who denies the addiction, Obama has consistently been in denial about his reckless spending addiction. Despite President Barack Obama’s denials, though, an analysis by Forbes shows there has not been a greater spender than Obama.
According to Forbes, “Obama’s own fiscal 2013 budget ... shows federal spending increasing from $2.983 trillion in 2008 to an all time record $3.796 trillion in 2012, an increase of 27.3%” and, “before Obama there had never been a deficit anywhere near $1 trillion.”
In addition, Obama had four consecutive budget deficits of over a trillion dollars and, in just one term, will “will have increased the national debt as much as all prior Presidents, from George Washington to George Bush, combined.”
And according to the study, budget proposals supported by Obama and Congressional Democrats will increase federal spending to the point where it will become 80% of the GDP if not reined in.

Tired,
one of those links has been shown to be wrong by multiple sources. Using incorrect numbers, has nothing to do with politics.
Let me ask you, who was it that created the federal budget for 2009? One of those links ignores that, while the other doesn't.
How short must the attention span be of someone that doesn't remember Hank Paulson on national TV demanding a bank bailout with an explanation of a whole 3 pages? You can not rewrite history to re-assign him to another administration. Or not remember the $700B bailout bill passed in Oct 2008?
One of those links groups numbers from before the election was even held. The other groups the numbers based on who was actually holding the office when the events happened.
I posted the link I did, because I understand that it is presenting data in a way that you can verify on your own. One of the links gives you the sources for the data being used, the other presents not a single external link in order to verify what is being claimed... you just have to 'trust him' that its right.
Look at the 2 links side by side-
Notice which one provides you with external verification of the data from multiple sources
Notice which one doesn't provide any way at all to verify it.
Verify it on your own. All It takes is about 15 minutes and a calculator.

The 2009 budget was signed by President Obama. Here is when and what Obama said when he signed it.
The final spending bills for the budget were not signed into law until March 11, 2009 by President Barack Obama, nearly five and a half months after the fiscal year began. "I am signing an imperfect omnibus bill because it's necessary for the ongoing functions of government," Obama declared. "But I also view this as a departure point for more far-reaching change." [2] This final bill also featured 7991 earmarks totaling nearly 5.5 billion dollars.
That was the budget submitted by George Bush.
What is the budget now?
The last budget proposed by Obama was rejected by congress 513-0.
Tim
11:26 pm on Monday, September 24, 2012
Great.
Did you not do the math because you didn't like the answer? Or did you not do it because you didn't know how?
I didn't ask you for a quote from the signing of an omnibus spending bill. I asked you who submitted the 2009 budget. The budget submitted was off by $600B in what it 'guessed' it would get in revenue. It has absolutely nothing to do with who signed it.
budgets:
2005 -> 2.4 trillion
2006 -> 2.7 trillion 12.5%
2007 -> 2.8 trillion 3.7%
2008 -> 2.9 trillion 3.57%
2009 -> 3.1 trillion 6.89%
12.5 + 3.57 + 3.44 + 6.45 = 25.96 / 4 = 6.49% increase in budget....
2010 -> 3.6 trillion 16.12% increase over Bush09 (2.85% over Obama's 2009 budget)
2011 -> 3.8 trillion 5.55% increase
2012 -> 3.7 trillion - 2.63% increase
2013 -> 3.8 trillion* 2.70% increase
16.12 + 5.55 - 2.63 = 19.04 / 3 = 6.34% increase in budget.....
16.12 + 5.55 -2.63 + 2.70 = 21.74 / 4 = 5.43%* increase in budget (estimated).......
There are the raw numbers -
Bush - 6.49% increase in budget YoY
Obama - 5.43% increase in budget YoY
Keep arguing, I dare you.

Wow vera and Mr BS are trying to compare today's dollars to that of 30 years ago and still think they are the same. I got news for them, things cost more today than they did 30 years ago. If you want to do an accurate account of spending, you should put the cost in the same dollar value in order to get an accurate comparison.
Way to go Tim for providing some facts about spending. To the cons, nothing mattered to them until Obama was sworn in. Then all of a sudden spending and the deficit became in a huge issue.
If the cons look back at the last 40 years worth of history, they would see the deficit significantly increased when Republicans were in the White House.

GRyan is blissfully unaware of the concept of inflation. He seems stuck in a period of time where nothing changes for him. Except of course, the outside world did change, making him a relic of days that are no more. His confusion comes when he compares the days he remembers, to today. It's a common psychological mistake, and this is usually taught in depth above a 100 level class. It becomes obvious listening to those who put forward this argument, when exactly they stopped their formal educations.
http://inflationdata.com/Inflation/images/charts/Oil/Gasoline_inflation_chart.htm
Turns out that gas was a lot more expensive in the past, in inflation-adjusted dollars.
We are not 'dependent' on foreign oil, and no matter how many times your politicians try to scare you with those nasty arabs, it still wont be true. Open a book learn something.
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-02-29/u-s-was-net-oil-product-exporter-in-2011.html
That's right, the US actually exports more oil than it imports, in total. Add to that, that the majority of the oil imported comes from Canada, and that argument gets shattered into pieces.
Why does it always seem that those who espouse todays republican party 'values', are blissfully unaware how silly they sound parroting information designed to get them to vote a certain way, but that is not actually true?

Your link clearly points out that the growth in the budget is 5.2% YoY(0.23% lower than my numbers). The numbers I posted above were 'generous' in favoring Bush just to prove a point, and they STILL came in with a slower rate of growth that your previous hyperbole suggested.

All of them.
YoY means 'Year over Year'.
This is how you construct a meaningful set of numbers, that is independent of who is actually holding the office, and that consists of an equal amount of years in each comparison.
Again, I have to ask;
Do you understand what you are reading? Because you can do this all on your own with a calculator. You don't have to listen to a single persons 'opinion'. All of your confusion can be eliminated if you would simply do the math on your own.

Planes can have windows in the cabin area if the manufactor opted for them, but it's more of a safety issue. If a plane descends to about 10-12,000 feet a window can be opended safely. The point I was trying to make that planes do have windows that open, but someone said no planes have windows that open!

Again that is on the flight deck. Mitt thought the main cabin should have windows that open. By your response, it sounds like you do as well Vera.
“And you can’t find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem.” - Mitt Romney

You obviously don't know what makes up the cabin vs flight deck do you.
Next time you decide to get on a plane, get up during mid flight and make an announcement that you want some of the windows to open and see what happens.

Romney is so out of touch! When I heard this it was just another straw in the camels back. It's about as good as him going to the hardware store to buy hardware things.This entire campaign has become a joke. I dread what he might say next, it could very well start another war.
Honestly, is this the best we could have done for the Republican party.

Very knowledgable about flight decks and cabins and aspects of a plane! Care to trade wits? What happens if a window was open at 10-12,000 feet? Nothing! You don't get sucked out of the plane like stupid movies show. Two or Three windows in the cabin would not be impossible to have installed and they would be locked and only unlocked by the Captain or flight attendant!

Now Vera thinks planes fly at 10-12,000 feet. When I have been on planes, 99% of the flight was above 20,000 feet.
Yes lets have windows on planes that any one can open. Gee mom, I am hot. I am going to open this window to cool off. I bet you would say, sure son go ahead. I am feeling warm as well.

Planes generally cruise at 25-35,000 or even higher depending on route and destination. Emergency windows out of the question ? No. Prime example several hundred miles from an airport that can't handle a big jet and there's an electrical fire and the plane fills with thick choking smoke! Can the plane descend to 10,000 feet and decompress and a window opended to let out the smoke and fresh air? I believe it can!
Stones

So now Vera wants to open windows on smokey airplanes to let the fresh air out? Boy you get dumber by the minute. Even at 10,000-12,000, you wouldn't open windows, while nobody would get sucked out like in the "movie shows", it would be pretty damn windy don't you think.
There sre windows in the cockpit that open in order for the pilots to communicate with the ground crew if needed. And you offer to match wits? Don't offer what you don't have.

If they abolish the Electoral College, you will always have a liberal Democratic President because the big cities will be the only votes that matter. The Electoral College is what gives everyone a voice.

As far as your opinion on the Electoral College, it is misguided if you prefer conservative Republican presidents (BTW, typically my choice too) because if the elections were decided by popular vote, it's most likely that we will have liberal Democratic presidents. That is because the bulk of the votes will come from the big cities and voters in places like Wyoming will lose there voice.
As far as airplane windows go, they simply don't open because that is just stupid. Whether or not you have opinions doesn't make the right. If I stated that, in my opinion, Vera is brilliant, there would be a slew of people on here posting that I'm wrong. See how it works?

Subject: The 2 Quotes of the Decade
"There are two ways to conquer & enslave a nation
One is by the sword.
The other is by debt." John Adams 1826
The Quote of the Decade:
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's
debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the
US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that
we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign
countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies.
Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and
internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops
here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad
choices today onto the backs of our children and
grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure
of leadership. Americans deserve better."
~ Senator Barack H. Obama, March 2006

Pass it on 'til eternity...
It was so nice of him to give us this great quote for posterity --
Actually he did not say it, someone else did it for him. Right ???? So it is Bush's fault.
He called it, he (if he has any creditability) should stand by it. But he will not.

Obama may not be the most popular President for the people, and some of those people who hate Obama probably do just hate him because he is black, but certainly not all of them. There are actually some people with educated reasons why they dislike Obama, and the reverse is true, People may like him just because he is black, and thats pretty scary to have those types of people voting. People should base thier votes off educated decisions and not just because. I for one am not a big fan of either the current President or the candidate, but I am not sure if making a change in the Presidency now will help things or hurt things. I do think while Obama may not be the best President ever, he is a strong President, and the fact that he authorized the raid that killed Bin Laden last year was obviously a major factor in his re-election. I just dont see Romney winning this election

What President in their right mind wouldn't authorize the raid for Bin Laden! It was a no brainer and Obama had no involvement in the finding of Bin Laden! Ever since Bin Laden was killed he always says I did this, I did that and it should be they! It wasn't him , but his security forces that located Bin Laden and the Navy Seals killed him! So Obama should stop taking all the credit by saying I and just say they!

"What President in their right mind wouldn't authorize the raid for Bin Laden!"
Predident Bush didn't. He took his eye off the prize and went into Iraq. If the focus stayed in Afghanistan an on bin Laden/al queda maybe we would have gotten him much earlier. In that scenario, we could be out of Afghanistan already, never in Iraq and saved how many of the trillions we are in debt, not to mention countless lives. especially those serving in our military.
The raid wasn't such an easy decision. If it failed, who would you blame? The Navy Seals? Doubtful, we all know who you would blame and there is no reason why that same person shouldn't get the credit for success.
Still trying to ruffle feathers with your childish name calling?

Case in point!!!
Current and former Navy SEALS are not happy with Obama taking credit for putting an end to Osama bin Laden.
Many believe being an election year that Obama is using the Navy Seals as a boost for his own reelection bid. In other words, politics as usual.
You see, the White House is running a campaign ad marking the first anniversary of the killing of bin Laden and the ad states “Which path would Mitt Romney have taken?” Perhaps suggesting that Romney would not had done anything? Let’s see here… which candidate is about building the military, not reducing it? Which president would receive top secret classified intel reports predicting a high percentage of capturing (or killing) the number one terroist in the world, and ‘not’ do anything?
A former Navy operator, Ryan Zinke, spent 23 years in the teams as well as Seal team six said, “the decision was a no brainer. I applaud him for making it (the decision) but I would not overly pat myself on the back for making the right call.”
Zinke goes on to say, “I think every president would have done the same. He is justified in saying it was his decision but the preparation, the sacrafice… it was a broader team effort. The President and his administration are positioning him as a war president using the Navy SEALS as ammunition. It was predictable.”

You Cons are funny. You jump for joy when Bush had a party on an aircraft carrier with a Mission Accomplished Banner. In fact, even left leaning liberals are even condemning Obama’s actions. Arianna Huffington, who runs the Huffington Post said “We should all celebrate the fact that they did such a great job. It’s one thing to have an NBC special from the Situation Room… all that to me is legitimate, but to turn it into a campaign ad is one of the most despicable things you can do.”
But then again, it is an election year. Right?
Truth be told, any president in office would had loved the opportunity that Obama had. The ‘risk reward’ ratio was enormous! The upside is beyond incredible and who would ever be angry about ‘not’ taking a legit swipe at bin Laden if it did not go as planned? Not to mention, having a stacked deck in your favor with the deadly master ops Navy Seals performing the operation. Don’t forget that this all-important operation was carefully rehearsed and perfectly staged long in advance. There was no margin for significant error!
Pro Life Crusader +
11:36 am on Thursday, September 27, 2012
Honestly, if Romney were in office, many believe that the call would had been made earlier. Then again, the President simply ‘rubber stamps’ the order and a good President then ‘steps aside’ and lets the experts go to work. According to special forces insiders, much of the credit goes to Admiral William McRaven, a former Navy Seal who was then head of Joint Special Operations Command who made the the decision to take bin Laden out. Tactical choices were then passed along down the chain. All to say, not one person… even the President of the United States… should ever take credit for such a massive and successful operation.
Truthfully, it’s a waste of time for any one single person to take the credit. Can you imagine a Navy SEAL operator standing up and claiming that he solely deserved all the credit? Of course not, nor should any leader even the President! We must all stand and be thankful for the collection of intelligence from a vast many and then the special forces community along with daring pilots who all collectively pulled off the ultimate operation.
Arm chair quarterbacks need not apply. Especially politicians!
