Meet Scooby, a 3-year-old German Shepherd/ Labrador Retriever mix looking for a home.

Scooby is an active dog who loves to play. He came into the Animal Welfare League of Chicago Ridge about a month ago. Scooby is very loveable, but was given up by his owners because he was a little too active for a home with a small child.

Cory Berndt at the Animal Welfare League of Chicago Ridge said she'd suggest Scooby go to a home with children no younger than 10-years-old. Scooby listens well and gets along well with other dogs. All he needs is a little training.

He is up-to-date on his shots, partially trained, microchipped and neutered.

Last week's Adopt Me pet, Punky is still available for adoption.
