Wind Advisory In Effect for Sunday

A wind advisory is in effect for the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory in effect for all of the Chicago area and northwest Indiana from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

South winds of 20mph to 30 mph are expected to continue into early Sunday morning ahead of a cold front.

As the cold front pushes into the area early Sunday afternoon, winds will become southwesterly and continue to increase to 25 mph to 35mph, with gusts some gusts as high as 50 mph.

A wind advisory means that winds of 35mph are expected which can make driving difficult, especially for large vehicles.
