The speech team from Richards High School last weekend continued its early season success by winning first place at the Huntley/Rolling Meadows tournament.

The Bulldogs won by a wide margin over second place Buffalo Grove.  Students placed across a broad spectrum of categories: 

Champions: Jason Warrior and Tambra Bullock, Dramatic Duet Acting;  Jason Warrior, Poetry Reading; and, Tambra Bullock, Dramatic Interpretation.

Second—JP Murphy, Radio Speaking;

Third—Eftihia Peroulas, Oratorical Declamation; Griffin Forberg and Caroline Azem, Humorous Duet Acting (HDA); Lauren Davis, Informative Speaking; Michael McCarthy, Original Comedy.

Fourth—Celina Clifton, Poetry; Eda Guven, Special Occasion Speaking; Gelique Ayala, Original Oratory; Lauren Davis, Prose Reading.

Fifth—Griffin Forberg, DI; Roxanne Segina,  OD;

Sixth—Katie Nestor, Radio; Kiersten Bergquist and Kevin Kozik, HAD; and, Roxanne Segina, SOS.
