Only 10 Days Left To Drop A Toy Off At Village Hall

Bring a new unwrapped toy to Village Hall for the Tow Trucks for Tots Parade, plus stuff for sale in 'Today in Oak Lawn.'

The Village of Oak Lawn is challenging every elected official, manager, employee and resident to drop off an unwrapped toy during the month of October at Village Hall in the collection box located in the lobby.

Oak Lawn is participating in the Tow Trucks for Tots Parade on Nov. 10. This year, Chicago-area tow truck drivers are attempting to set a Guinness world record for the most tow trucks in a parade.

All the toys collected in Village Hall and on the day of the tow truck parade itself will be turned over to the Toys for Tots organization.

A major player in the 2013 Tow Trucks for Tots Parade is our own Ed Forsythe from Jack’s Towing. Ed is the president of the Professional Towing & Recovery Operators of Illinois. He’s playing a big role in getting the parade started.
