Open Mic Readings At Oak Lawn Library

Plus commonsense advice for helping your kids stay on top of things in school.

Local writers are invited to come to the Oak Lawn Library to share their original short stories and poetry. We went a few years ago and caliber of work was outstanding. Readings are limited to five minutes. Open mic night starts at 7 p.m. Free. Light refreshments are offered. The library is located at 9427 S. Raymond Ave.

Also, the Oak Lawn Farmers Market is underway from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., every Wednesday at Cook and Dumke Drive.  Featured business is the Corner Bakery.
