St. Laurence Students Named Illinois State Scholars

11 St. Laurence students are 2013-2014 Illinois State Scholars.

Eleven St. Laurence students are 2013-14 Illinois State Scholars.  Illinois State Scholar winners rank in the top ten percent of high school seniors from 749 different high schools across the state.  Selection is based on SAT, ACT and/or Prairie State Achievement Exam scores, and/or class rank at the end of the student's junior year.

"These young men are very special to us at STL," said St. Laurence Principal Jim Muting.  "Not only are they great students who have been recognized as Illinois State Scholars, but they are exemplary individuals that do well in the classroom and also excel and are involved in school activities and sports.  They are a credit to their families and to STL."

This year's scholars are Michael Buche, Daniel Buss, Kyle Dalton, Andrew Fick, Patrick Haugh, Daniel Hecker, Michael Hyc, Nicholas Paneral, William Rickhoff, Marco Rodriguez, and Stephen Slamar.
