Kohl's Cares Scholarship Program - REGIONAL Winner Sarah Dynia

From Kohl’s Letter addressed to Sarah Dynia (Stuffed Love):  

"Congratulations! You have been selected from more than 2,300 store winners as one of 194 regional winners in the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program. To recognize your contributions, you’ll receive a $1,000 scholarship for post secondary education.

Your selection as a regional winner has entered you in the completion for one of 10 national scholarships worth $9,000 plus a $1,000 grant to the nonprofit organization of your choice. National winners will be notified by mail in late July.

Congratulations again on your service. Your leadership will transform your community into a better place for future generations. We’re impressed by your dedication and are certain your volunteerism will inspire others to make a difference too."

Sarah is a junior at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School in Chicago, Illinois. She continues to provide services to other organizations such as:  Stuffed Love (Founder);  generationOn (Service Leader’s Committee Founding Member); Interact Club of Oak Lawn (President, Treasurer/Past President/Public Relations - Social Media); Interfaith House; Mended Little Hearts of Chicago; Oak Lawn Children’s Museum; Park Lawn; White Sox Volunteer Corps; and Worth Township Youth Service Bureau (Peer Juror).

In addition to her numerous volunteer activities, she’s a very active student at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School where she is a Catherine McAuley Honors Scholar.  She is also a member of Action/Reaction, EcoMacs, Junior Classical League, Math Club, Math Macs, Primary Colors, Science Club, Science Bowl Club, Student Ambassador’, W.I.S.E. and is a goalie on the lacrosse team.

Most recently for her volunteer service with Park Lawn and more, Sarah received the Youth Service Governor’s Volunteer Service Award on April 18th, 2013.
