Violinist Performs Solo Recital

Natalia Nykasa, 10, of Oak Lawn performed a solo recital as her Book 1 graduation requirement on November 10 at The Music Connection of Orland Park Illinois. The recital included works of Bach, Schumann, Gossec, as well as folk songs.

She is a violin student of Ana Simonovska  and attends Columbus Manor School in Oak Lawn.

“The best thing about playing the violin is working with my teacher, Miss Ana”, “She makes lessons fun.”

“A supportive family is so important for a child’s success in music,” said Janet Kuester, director of The Music Connection, “Natalia’s father played violin and her brother Daniel also plays; he also played one piece at the recital. Both parents attend lessons with their children, which is required as part of the Suzuki violin method. Dedicated parents who nurture the culture of music in the family is so important in keeping the child focused interested for maximum ability development”.

“We congratulate her on a beautiful recital and are so proud of her accomplishment.”
