Benefit Held for Oak Lawn Teen Injured in Car Accident
Friends and family of Billy Rehfeld, 17, are hosting a benefit in his honor at 115 Bourbon Street this Saturday, March 24.
Friends and family of an Oak Lawn teen critically injured in a car accident last year are hosting a benefit – “Be There for Billy” – at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park this Saturday (March 24).
On July 3, 2011, Billy Rehfeld, now a senior at St. Rita High School, was critically injured in a devastating car accident. Billy sustained multiple broken bones (pelvis, left femur, right tibia, and right hand) as well as amputation of the left leg below the knee.
Billy has since undergone multiple surgeries and procedures, and now faces a long recovery and extensive rehab at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Proceeds from the benefit will help defray Billy Rehfeld’s staggering medical costs, ensuring the quality of his future medical care and equipment.
