DO YOU REALLY KNOW THE LORD’S PRAYER?

Winter Bible Study Begins Jan 9

   When did you last really think about what you are praying for when you say the Lord’s Prayer?  Our Winter Bible Study will explore how we approach God, what we can expect from God and what we are really asking God to do when we pray the prayer Jesus offered when his disciples asked him to teach them to pray.

   The Bible study will meet from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings, beginning January 9.  We will definitely skip Super Bowl Sunday and may make some other adjustments depending on how the Bears do in the playoffs!

   Here is the tentative schedule:

Jan 9    Our Father in Heaven:  How close can we come to a holy God?

Jan 16   God’s Kingdom on Earth:  Do I really want that?

Jan 23   Daily Bread:  Do I depend on God or myself?

Jan 30   Trespasses, Debts and Sin:  Forgiving and being forgiven.

Feb 13  Temptation and Evil:  How bad is it and can God protect us?

Feb 20  The Power and the Glory:  The danger of playing God.
