Hunting for Local Clues, Day 2

Our crew of nearly 20 Southland Patch editors, ad managers and other staff will blitz Oak Lawn on June 27 with goodies and volunteerism throughout the community. As a preview, let's go on a virtual scavenger hunt!

It's Satuday, which means our march to the Oak Lawn Tour de Patch continues. Meanwhile, we're in the middle of weeklong scavanger hunt.

The game will come to a head Wednesday, June 27, when Patchers blanket with our zealous spirit, volunteer efforts and most importantly for you — LOTS of giveaways, such as free gift cards to anyone who utters the secret word, "Park Lawn", to us while we are out and about that day.

As a preview, let's go on a virtual scavenger hunt!

If you can idenitfy where this is, you will win a $5 gift card to Starbucks. Here's a hint: he has a cousin on 63rd Street and Pulaski Road. The first person to email me at lorraine.swanson@patch.com wins.

Congratulations to Theresa Roche who correctly guessed where Friday's "smile" was located. (The thespian faces on the side of the .)

Re: Mother 24's final comment on food handlers hand washing, is there an ordinance requiring hotRead More water in restrooms.? Many have only cold water in both faucets or verrrryyyy slow to respond hot water faucets. This should be a point of inspection for the health inspector (s.) Phinnigin

Re:Phinnigin. I agree!! Most establishments do not have hot water in the restrooms!!! However, whyRead More can't restaurants install hand sanitizer behind the counter? The Popeye's in Burbank has a hand sanitizer installed behind the counter, but honestly, the employees hardly ever use it, which is why, after a horrible experience at that location last July, I have not patronized ANY Popeye's since!!!
