The Wellness Club will discuss natural remedies to boost life longevity at its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (April 26). The club is meeting at Panera Bread on 158th & Harlem in Orland Park. Natural solutions and remedies will be offered for such health-related issues at improved brain function, sleep issues, prostate and urinary tract health and cancer prevention. Members and guests can also use Livingto100 life expectancy calculator to create their own life expectancy estimate and receive helpful feedback on ways to increase it.

Earth Day Celebration 2012

Make friends with the planet at Oak Lawn’s Earth Day celebration hosted by the from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28 This free, family-friendly event is filled with giveaways and tons of activities for the whole family. Hang out with Jim Nesci’s Cold Blooded Creatures or make crafts. Other featured activities include plant giveaways, free raffles, tree planting demo, worm composting, rain barrel demo, home energy conservation, a how-to on raising monarch butterflies, nature walk and more.
