If you’re looking for local fun this weekend, St. Louis de Montfort Church is hosting its second annual carnival in Oak Lawn.
The carnival runs Thursday through Sunday, May 29-June 1. St. Louis de Montfort is located at 8840 S. Ridgeland Ave., Oak Lawn. Admission is free, unless you want to hop on a few rides. Wristbands are available at the window for $20; individual ride tickets are also available.
All proceeds will benefit St. Louis de Montfort Elementary School.
See the parish carnival lineup.
The carnival promises epic fun and marks the first outdoor appearances of such South Side favorites as the Hat Guys, Five Guys Named More and Oak Lawn’s own Joe Elvis bringing the “King, Kash, Killer and Lewis” tribute show.
Featured throughout the weekend are exciting rides and games for all ages provided by Fantasy Amusemens, a beer garden, daily raffles and prizes, face painters, local business expo, and covered food court.
Barraco’s, Genoa Beef and Lucky Burrito are provided the eats, plus everyone’s favorite carnival fare (yes, there will be waffle cakes).
