What's Open, Closed on President's Day
Schools are out and government offices are closed Monday February 20, for President's Day.
Chances are if you're reading this you're off for Presidents Day. Here's a look at what's open and closed, plus a few suggestions of stuff to keep your children busy while they're off from school and nearby mattress sales.
What's Closed:
- All Oak Lawn public schools, including Districts 122, 123, and 229
- Oak Lawn parochial schools
- Oak Lawn Village Hall
- Federal and state government offices and courts
- U.S. Post Office (no mail delivery, holiday mail pickup)
What’s open:
- Oak Lawn Library, regular hours,
- Children's Museum in Oak Lawn, special holiday hours, opens 9:30 a.m.
- Oak Lawn Park District parks
Things To Do for Families:
- Family Movie Screening: Rio, 2 p.m., Oak Lawn Libary, FREE
- Interactive demonstration with Joon Lee Tae Kwon Do, 11 a.m., Children's Museum in Oak Lawn.
- Join the Children's Museum for a aive Animal Show, featuring Nature's Creatures, Green Oak Shopping Center, 95th Street and Cicero Avenue (southeast corner), sponsored by H&R Block, 2:30 p.m. FREE.
