What's Open, Closed on President's Day

Chances are if you're reading this you're off for Presidents Day. Here's a look at what's open and closed, plus a few suggestions of stuff to keep your children busy while they're off from school and nearby mattress sales.

What's Closed:

• All Oak Lawn public schools, including Districts 122, 123, and 229
• Oak Lawn parochial schools
• Oak Lawn Village Hall
• Federal and state government offices and courts
• U.S. Post Office (no mail delivery, holiday mail pickup)

What’s open:

• Oak Lawn Library, regular hours,
• Children's Museum in Oak Lawn, special holiday hours, opens 9:30 a.m.
• Oak Lawn Park District parks

Things To Do for Families:

• Family Movie Screening: Rio, 2 p.m., Oak Lawn Libary, FREE
• Interactive demonstration with Joon Lee Tae Kwon Do, 11 a.m., Children's Museum in Oak Lawn.
• Join the Children's Museum for a aive Animal Show, featuring Nature's Creatures, Green Oak Shopping Center, 95th Street and Cicero Avenue (southeast corner), sponsored by H&R Block, 2:30 p.m. FREE.
