Meet the Author: Brigid Pasulka

Award-winning author Brigid Pasulka will visit the Oak Lawn Public Library on Wednesday, Feb. 15 to kick off “Night Reads” and talk about her novel, “A Long, Long Time Ago and Essentially True.” Pasulka’s first novel, winner of the 2010 Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award, weaves together two remarkable stories, re-imagining half a century of Polish history through the legacy of one family. Book discussion begins at 7 p.m. followed by a Q and A session with Pasulka, who will also read aloud a favorite passage and sign copies of her novel. No advance registration. Refreshments will be served.

"Night Reads" is a new bi-monthly book discussion for adults, which will feature fiction and non-fiction titles. Each book discussion title and date will be announced two months in advance, and the Oak Lawn Public Library will try to secure as many copies of the book as possible. The next selection will be announced in the March/April newsletter and at “Night Reads” on Feb. 15.
