Star Spangled Celebration

The Oak Lawn Park District’s Annual Star Spangled Fourth of July Celebration will be held Monday, July 4, at Centennial Park beginning at 11 am. New this year $5 wristbands (per child).  Adults free.

 

Activities & events happening throughout the day include: concessions, guess how many, child led play, carnivals games, ask the horticulturist booth, pony rides, bean bags, inflatables, bingo, 3 on 3 adult basketball, big wheel races.

11:00 am – 12 pm  - Gymnastics

11 am – 4 pm -  $2 Open Swim at Central Pool

11:30 am - Lifeguard Games

12 – 1:00 pm -Kin-ball

12 pm - Treasure Hunt

12 – 1:00 pm - Judo Demo

12 - 2:00 pm - Archery

12 – 4 pm - $2 Open Swim at Centennial Pool

12:15-1:00 pm - St. Jude Hockey 

1:00 - 2:00 pm - Gymnastics

1:15 - 2:00 pm - Mini-tennis lesson

2:15 - 3:00 pm - Dodgeball

12:30 - 2:00 pm - Oak Lawn’s Got Talent

2:00 - 3:00 pm - Kite Flying

 

Evening entertainment will still be held at the football field at Richards High School (106th Street and Central Avenue). Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. The Oak Lawn Park District’s gymnastics group—the Pirouettes—will perform at 7:45 p.m., followed by the winner of Oak Lawn’s Got Talent. Dave Rudolf will take the stage at 8:15 pm. A spectacular fireworks display will follow the entertainment. The Village of Oak Lawn is cosponsoring the fireworks display.
