'Spring Into Summer' With the Oak Lawn Chamber

Spring Into Summer 2013 offers auto show, pet parade and more this Friday and Saturday.

The Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce is throwing its annual “Spring Into Summer” bash including an auto show showcasing Oak Lawn’s local car dealers, pet parade and vendor fair.

The bash offers for the perfect venue for getting acquainted with Oak Lawn businesses, march with your dog in a parade, hoist a few beers, sample the local cuisine and smell the inside of some new cars.

Spring Into Summer 2013 runs Friday and Sunday, June 8 through June 9, located on the Village Green at 52nd Street and Cook Drive, behind the Oak Lawn Library.

Friday, June 7


  • Friday Night Preview - 6 to 11 p.m.

  • Auto Show - 6 to 11 p.m.

  • The Walkins (live music) 7 p.m.

  • Beer, wine and food for sale


    • Saturday, June 8


    • Pet Parade lineup - 9 a.m. at Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School (54th Avenue and 99th Street).

    • Contest registration (best dressed pet and pet/owner look alike) - 9:30 a.m.

    • Contest judging - 9:45 a.m.

    • Pet Parade leaves at 10 a.m.; ends up at Village Green @ Cook and 52nd Avenue

    • Free children’s activities on the Village Green until 3 p.m.

  • Auto Show and Vendor Fair, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
