Oak Lawn Patrol Officer

The Oak Lawn Board of Police and Fire Commissioners is currently taking applications for a full-time police patrol officer. Experienced police officers are encouraged to apply. Patrol officer candidates must successfully complete a written examination, physical ability test and an oral interview in order to be placed on an eligibility list. Starting salary $56,177 the first year with increases to $69,347 after one year to $82,623 after three years, and benefits. Completed applications must be returned to the commission by March 1. Chicago Conservation Leadership Corp – High School Students

 “The Chicago Conservation Leadership Corps Program (CLC) is a six-week conservation service-learning experience. The crew will consist of 10-12 high school participants and two adult leaders. The first week of the program is spent in training and workshops. As a team, the crew will perform ecological restoration and trail maintenance projects in the Forest Preserves of Cook County for the next five weeks. Each Friday, students will participate in field days learning about the local ecology and the environment at various sites throughout the region. The program runs July 1 – August 9, 2013. Participants are compensated for their work at a maximum rate of $1,500. Chicago Conservation Leadership Corp – College Students

Crew leaders age 21 and older are needed to co-lead, supervise and mentor a team of 10-12 high school youth, ages 15-18 for six weeks (Mon-Fri. 8hrs/day) completing an assortment of hands-on conservation and restoration projects within different areas in the Forest Preserves of Cook County and plan and lead weekly educational field trips, $3,400 to $3,700 depending on qualifications and experience. The program runs July 1 – August 9, 2013. Oak Lawn Park Dist. – Full, Part-Time Positions

The park district has a number of openings for full and part-time positions, including personal trainer, front desk attendant, piano instructor, boys gymnastics coach, cheer/tumbler instructor as well as internships at various parks. Oak Lawn Park Dist. – Summer Internships

The Oak Lawn Park District is seeking qualified students interested in an internship in the field of Recreation, Sports Management or a related field. Candidates will currently be attending college or be a recent graduate with a major in recreation, outdoor recreation or related field. City Clerk Interns

The Chicago City Clerk's Office is now accepting applications for its summer internship program. They hope to hire at least 60 interns to help implement summer programs, including City Vehicle Sticker sales.
