Win A Year’s Supply of Chick-fil-A at Chicago Ridge Grand Opening

Stake your spot in line at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday for a chance to win a year's supply of Chick-fil-A meals at the grand opening of the new Chicago Ridge Mall restaurant on Thursday.

Pack up your tents, lawn chairs, iPads and snacks, and head down to the new Chicago-fil-A restaurant at the Chicago Ridge Mall.

Hundreds of Chick-fil-A addicts are expected to start lining up at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday for the Thursday grand opening of the new restaurant located in the east parking lot of the Chicago Ridge Mall at 9600 S. Ridgeland Ave.

The first 100 adults, ages 18 and older, in line on Wednesday morning, each will win a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A meals, consisting of their famous chicken sandwich, medium Waffle potato fries and a medium drink – a total of more than $30,000 in free food.

If there are more than 100 people at  6 a.m. on Wednesday, all 100 spots will be determined by a drawing held that morning with those selected needing to camp out to secure their spot. To receive the year-supply of Chick-fil-A meals, fans must in line for 24-hours for the 6 a.m. grand opening on Thursday. For complete rules, see Chick-fil-A First 100 Promotion.

Chick-fil-A’s “First 100” tradition started in 2003 at the opening the first stand-alone Chick-fil-A in Arizona, when the first person arrived the night before for the grand opening. Others soon followed and by the time the restaurant opened for business the next day, more than 100 people were waiting in line.

Humbled and surprised by the dedication of its fans, Chick-fil-A quickly implemented the “First 100” at every grand opening in the past ten years, handing out more that $18 million in free good at almost 700 grand openings. Another 2.5 million in free food is expected to be given away at 114 grand openings this year.

If you’ve never been to a Chick-fil-A parking lot event, you can expect a party atmosphere. Over the past decade, First 100 celebrations have served as backdrop for family reunions, girls’ nights out, birthday celebrations and college study parties.

You may find the love of your life when your eyes meet with another Chick-fil-A addict across the crowded parking lot, as several marriage proposals have resulted from chance meetings at First 100 events, the company claims.

Chick-fil-A will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner to early birds, as well as providing entertainment and games with a chance to win prizes. Security will be provided to ensure the safety of guests.
