Visit Baha’i Temple and Illinois Holocaust Museum
Take a trip to Baha'i Temple and the Holocaust Museum!
On Wednesday, July 25th, join the Oak Lawn Park District on a trip to the beautiful Baha’i Temple in Wilmette, Illinois. The temple was completed in 1953 and designed by French Canadian architect Louis Bourgeois. It is one of only 7 Baha’i Temples in the world.
The next stop is to the Illinois Holocaust Museum in Skokie. Karkomi is the permanent exhibit with over 500 artifacts, documents, photos and video testimonies from local survivors. Lunch will be family style at Buca Di Beppo located in Wheeling. Travel Services Tours.
Participants will depart from the Community Pavilion located at 9401 S. Oak Park Avenue. Departure time is 9:00 am and return time is 6:00 pm. The fee is $75 for residents and $85 for non-residents. The registration deadline is Monday, July 16th.
