American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course

Prepare for
your next summer job! The Oak Lawn Park District is offering the American Red
Cross Lifeguard Training Course that is  intended to train young adults, must be ages 15 or older) in
surveillance skills to help you recognize and prevent injuries; Rescue skills –
in the water and on land; First aid training and professional rescuer CPR – to
help you prepare for any emergency; and additional lifeguards responsibilities
like interacting with the public and addressing uncooperative patrons.

The course will be held at Central Pool, 9400
S. Kenton Ave.,  from 7:00am –
2:00pm, Monday, June 2 – Thursday, June 5. The fee is $300 and includes
workbooks and facemasks. Participants must attend all four days.
