Illinois and Florida Certified Concealed Carry Class

Our Illinois & Florida concealed carry course offers students 16 hours of the most hands on approach to learning about firearms from the ground up increasing the confidence levels of all who attend. This class is not boring! Our instructors are all Illinois State Police certified firearms instructors with tactical backgrounds that bring real world firearm knowledge necessary for all individuals who plan on carrying a firearm for personal protection.

Our fees include range fees, targets, lunch and textbooks.
Onsite Fingerprinting will be available for an additional $60

Blackhawk Phase I

The classroom session of Session I is taught using the NRA's Basic Pistol course which adheres to 8 hours of the state of Illinois requirements for training. All of our students are issued textbooks, handouts and a certificate of completion that will allow you to apply for your Florida CCW permit as well.

This course is designed to provide a novice  shooter with the  knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for safely owning and handling a firearm and to elevate the fundamentals of advanced firearm owners. Topics covered in Session I include:

The Essential 4 Firearm Safety Rules

Firearm Identification

Dry Firing Drills (Using SIRT Technology)

Firearm Storage

Phase II - Illinois Legal Instruction

This phase of the classroom instruction will focus on all Local, State and Federal laws. The laws to be focused on:

The Illinois Concealed Carry Act in its entirety with emphasis on 430 ILCS 66/10(h) which includes instruction on the appropriate and lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm. Also emphasize on 430 ILCS 66/65 which includes instruction on prohibited areas and the parking lot exception.

The FOID Act 430 ILCS 65/1

Relevant portions of the ILCS including but not limited to

1) 720 ILCS 5/7-1. Use of force in defense of a person**

2) 720 ILCS 5/7-2. Use of force in defense of dwelling**

3) 720 ILCS 5/7-3. Use of force in defense of other property**

4) 720 ILCS 24/1  Unlawful Use of Weapons**

Upon concluding the Illinois Legal Portion students will learn tactics to be used in defensive situations, defensive draws, holster safety guidelines, concealment clothing options and much more.
