A.E.P's 3rd Annual Rubber Duckie Derby

  • The duckies are back for year 3! And this time it’s not how fast but how far you go!

This year’s derby is benefiting Special Olympics Chicago. The Special Olympics mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

What's a rubber duckie derby you ask? It's when we race rubber duckies on slip and slids for awesome prizes!

This event will be held outside of the office. Up to race time (1:30pm) you can adopt a duckie/racer. With every $5 donation you will get a duckie which will race for fabulous prizes. We will be serving refreshments and fun. Winners do not need to be present. The top prize is a iPad3!

You can also stop by the office to pick your own duckie racer. Feeling creative? With a $10 donation you get a blank duckie to color any way you want! We are also giving prizes for the most creative ones! You will also get your racer back after the derby to keep!

Can't make it? You can still be part of the fun by making a donation to our page – we will be announcing our web address soon!

Have any questions? You can call us (708-229-2200) or email us (aep4619@gmail.com). Or like us on Facebook to keep up-to-date with derby news!

    Thank you for the support!
