National Merit Scholarship Recognition

Oak Lawn Community High School Class of 2014 Clarissa Dean was recognized for earning a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).  About 50,000 Commended Students were recognized throughout the nation for their exceptional academic promise.  Dean placed among the top five percent of more 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Dean is an active member of the school’s Anime Sci-Fi Club and Visual Arts Club. Dean is an honor roll student and has a 4.3774/4.0 GPA and is ranked in the top fifteen of her class.
