Oak Lawn Community High School Anticipates Teen Read Week

The theme of this year’s Teen Read Week is Seek the Unknown.  Events will take place between Tuesday, October 15, 2013, and Friday, October 18, 2013.  On Tuesday, Everest College will lead an interactive workshop about planning for the future titled The Game Plan.  After school the Anime Sci-Fi Club will host a Seek the Unknown movie night.  On Wednesday, the after school book club will meet to discuss this semester’s novel, Divergent by Veronica Roth. Seek the Unknown Craft Day will take place on Thursday when the Oak Lawn Public Library Youth Librarian will teach students how to create an out-of-this-world craft. Per tradition, the Media Center will host a Coffee House during all B portions of lunch periods where students, faculty and staff can read, rap or perform their favorite poems.
