Oak Lawn Community High School Spartans Welcome New Division Chair and Dean

Oak Lawn Community High School started the 2013-14 school year with two new leaders: Lauren May began her year as Chairperson of English, Social Studies, Foreign Language and Media Center and Kevin McKeown began his year as a Dean of Students. 

Lauren May has served the Spartans for 14 years as an English teacher, Data Coordinator, Dean of Students, Scholastic Bowl Coach, and Relay for Life Sponsor.  Lauren said, “I’m looking forward to furthering the amazing curriculum, instruction, and assessment work of our teachers.”  

Kevin McKeown has taught social studies at Oak Lawn Community High School for ten years. Kevin has taught U.S. government, U.S. history and Law.  During those ten years he served as assistant football coach and eight seasons as the head boys' bowling coach. Kevin said, “It has been a tremendous experience at Oak Lawn this past decade and I look forward to the future as a new administrator.”
