OAK LAWN’S CUCULICH, MURLEY CLAIM REGIONAL HONORS

When it comes to the IHSA Regional Golf meet, both Joe Cuculich and Brandon Murley know what to expect. After all, they both earned All-Regional Honors as juniors. This year, they both repeated the feat.

These seniors have been a major part of the nucleus that holds the team together all year.

“Joe has played varsity golf all four years, while Brandon has played varsity for three years,” said boys’ golf head coach Pat Mayer. “Joe, Brandon and another senior in Matt Dunne have carried the team all year. The seniors were real leaders this year and we will miss them. They were like assistant coaches to the younger players.”

The regional honors top off great careers for these Spartans on the fairway. In fact, Cuculich was also an all-conference golfer for the last two years in the South Suburban Conference Red Division as well.
