Flooding

So what is oak lawn mayor doing to help our homes from not flooding?  What's the plan?  What the heck is even positive about her?

Oak lawn is deep in the red they can't just spend and spend. Unlike EP who's in the black and have a couple xtra bucks to prepare with some xtra manpower.

Joe, in her State of the Village address Mayor Bury stated, “We’re under budget on just about everything." All the departments were asked to make cuts, she said, praising them for doing so. She said the saving amounted to $500,000 in total, contributing to the village, now $1.5 million in the black. That's from a news item in the SW NewsHerald. So, there you go.

Luther, that's great news. I thought I had read they were 8 mill+ in the hole? No? Maybe it was another town

Just remember this when she/they say we have to get rid of more people cause we're broke.

If you can't afford "it" you can't. The cut backs in the village have effected my family greatly. Do I like it? Heck no! As upsetting as this is to the residents and employees alike tightening the so called belt in the long run works. We do with less and survive its a matter of wants versus needs. Wants lose every time. IMO
