FRIDAY MAY 17

Coin Holder Stolen

Thieves rifled through a car parked in the driveway of home on 10100 of South Alice Court before 8:46 a.m. The center console was open and various papers and CD cases were askew on the front passenger seat. The only thing taken from the car was a coin holder with $3 to $4 in various coins.

Thieves Took Plastic Baggy of Jewelry

A man filed a report at the Oak Lawn police station saying that someone entered his unlocked car parked in the 10300 block of South Lavergne between May 16 and May 17. Thieves swiped the man’s wallet and some jewelry in a plastic baggy belonging to the man’s girlfriend, including a silver necklace, diamond stud earrings and promise ring.

Money Stolen from Center Console

Someone ripped off $5 from the center console of an unlocked car parked in the 4900 block of West Wick Drive before 8:18 a.m.

Purse Stolen from Unlocked Car

A woman said she left her purse on the front passenger seat after parking her car overnight in front of her house in the 4900 block of West Harnew. A neighbor stopped by the next morning to return her purse, which the neighbor found on his front lawn. Her husband searched around the yard and found her driver’s license in the grass. Credit and gift cards are missing.

MONDAY MAY 13

Purse Stolen During Workout

A woman set her purse on the floorboard in her car while she went to work out at LA Fitness at 8812 S. Cicero Ave. around noon. When she returned, someone had punched in the lock. Police said the purse contained the woman’s driver’s license, credit cards and $700 cash.

SATURDAY MAY 11

Plastic Windows Cut

Someone cut the plastic windows on a Jeep parked in the 10100 block of South Lawrence Avenue sometime before 10:34 a.m. The thieves took cash and iPod from the center console.
