Christ Hospital Patient Picked Up on Murder Warrant

Oak Lawn Police serve warrant on Indiana man wanted for murder.

Oak Lawn Police received information that an individual being treated at Advocate Christ Medical Center had a warrant from Lake County, Ind., for murder, reports said.

Police went to the hospital at 3:18 p.m. Aug. 10, where they encountered Rafael Peluyera, Jr., 21, of Lake Station, Ind. Police confirmed that it was the suspect being treated in the room.

A computer check of his name and birthdate reaveled that he had an outstanding warrant for murder. Police arrived at Christ Hospotal to fingerprint and photogragh Pelyura, and process the warrant.

Peluyera was placed on police hold. He is currently in the custody of the Lake County, Ind. sheriff.
