Cops Investigate 'Suspicious Person' Who Followed Teen In Black Pick-Up Truck

Oak Lawn police are looking into possible similarities with incident reported in Evergreen Park where a male Hispanic grabbed a young woman from behind.


Oak Lawn police are cautioning people to remain alert when walking alone after a 17-year-old girl reported being followed by a “suspicious” person early Tuesday evening.

Police said the teen was walking south on Pulaski Road from 106th Street around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday when she noticed she was being followed by a male Hispanic driving a black pickup truck.

The man parked the truck in a funeral home parking lot at 107th Street and Pulaski. The teen called police a few minutes later and the pickup truck left the area.

Oak Lawn Police are in contact with Evergreen Park Police to see if there are similarities between Tuesday’s incident and another in Evergreen Park on Sunday evening, where a 24-year-old woman was reportedly grabbed from behind by a male Hispanic.

When walking alone, stay alert. If you see someone suspicious near you, get to a place of safety and call 911, police advise.
