Oak Lawn police are looking for two men believed to have been involved in an armed robbery in a mobile home park on June 9, reports said.

Police were responded to a report of an armed robbery of a 43-year-old man around 4:39 a.m. at a mobile home park at 9001 S. Cicero Ave.

The man told police he had returned home from a party and was sitting in his car smoking a cigarette and listening to music. His wallet and cell phone were on the seat beside him.

Police said the man’s keys were in the ignition and his wallet and cellphone were on the seat beside him, when an “extremely skinny male” opened the car door and held a knife to the man’s neck.

The man said he grabbed the robber’s right hand which was holding the knife, and told him, “you’re scaring me.”

The robber grabbed the man’s gold chain and pulled him out of the car. He then tried to cut the man’s chain off with the knife until eventually the chain snapped off.

The two began to struggle and as they were fighting, the man said he heard another voice that he believed to be a caucasian male.

According to the report, the second suspect yelled: “You got the gun, kill him. Don’t be scared, he’s just a Mexican.”

The man said the first robber stumbled backwards, landing on another car behind him. The robber pulled up his shirt and grabbed a small black handgun, believed to be a .22-caliber, out of his waistband. Police believe the robber may be right handed.

Police said the robber took off running through the trailer park. The man chased him through the gangway, when the robber turned around and pointed the gun at him a second time. He chased the robber until he lost sight of him behind the adjacent motel.

The man ran home to check his family. His keys, cellphone and wallet were both missing from his car. He believes the second robber, who he didn’t get a good look at, stole his stuff while chasing his accomplice.

Police found a knife laying in the gangway, which the man identified “without hesitation” as the robber’s.

Officers spoke to employees at the motel next to mobile home park, but the employee did not have access to security video.

The man believes he has seen the skinny white male before who lives or has a friend living in the mobile home park.

The robber got away with a gold chain, a gold Jesus medallion, cellphone and wallet with a combined value of $4,100.
