Funeral arrangements are set for “Real World” star and Evergreen Park native Joey Kovar.

Kovar was reportedly bleeding from his mouth and ears. A source at the Chicago Ridge Fire Department said that Kovar’s eyes were also blackened.
Police do not suspect foul play and a death investigation is underway. An autopsy by the Cook County Medical Examiner was found inconclusive, and the cause of death was pending toxicology results, the Chicago Tribune reported on Saturday.
Kovar rocketed to fame on MTV’s “Real World” and later sought help for drug addiction from Dr. Drew on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab.”
His family has denied reports that he died of a possible drug overdose, TMZ.com said.
Fans from around the country have left tributes to Kovar on his online guestbook at Legacy.com. One of his teachers at Evergreen Park Community High School wrote:
"As his sophomore year teacher at EPCHS I remember 'Joe' the way he used to be...a fun loving, caring, and sympathetic young man trying desperately to fit in and find a path in this life and leave the pain behind. Joe I miss you and will always remember your funny jokes in class and humorous laugh...God love you and farewell. Mr. L."
Visitation for Kovar will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Kosary Funeral Home at 9837 S. Kedzie Ave. in Evergreen Park.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the at 4600 W. 111th St., in Oak Lawn.
Kovar’s body will lie in state one hour before the funeral. Guests are to go directly to the First Church of God and not the funeral home, a Kosary spokeswoman said.
Interment will be private.
