When the men reached the entry door, the employee said both were wearing gloves, which they didn’t have on before. The two walked up to her as she sat working at her desk.

Pointing a black handgun at the employee, the robbers ordered her to get down on the floor. Police said both robbers grabbed the gold that had come into the store that day.

The robbers rifled through the desk drawers looking for more gold and money, the report said. Ordering the employee not to move, they left the store. Police said the employee did not see which direction they headed in.

The robbers got away with a manila envelope filled with $3,000 worth of gold.

A witness told police that he saw a powder blue Mitsubishi traveling eastbound on 95th Street.

Both robbers were described as male blacks in their twenties; only one of them was armed. The unarmed robber’s hair was done up in braids. The two were carrying backpacks and wearing gloves, police said.
