Man Charged for Causing Ruckus at Starbucks

Homeless man swore at customers and threw chairs around patio, police say.

Police charged a man with disorderly conduct after an employee reported the man cursing at other patrons at Starbucks, 5135 W. 95th St.

John Woodrow Teter, 48, who police said is homeless, was also given a verbal warning not to return to Starbucks.

A Starbucks employee called police at 4 p.m. June 3 and said that a man wearing a Cubs hat was cursing at people sitting at an adjacent table and was throwing chairs around the patio. The employee told police wanted Teter arrested and did not want to see him again at Starbucks.

Teter has a July 1 court appearance.
